Privacy Policy

Sakhi is built on a foundation of trust. Your health data is yours. We never sell it, share it, or trade it with any third party, ever.

1. Who We Are

Sakhi is an AI-powered women's health companion application. References to "Sakhi," "we," "our," or "us" in this policy refer to the developers and operators of the Sakhi application. You can contact us at privacy@sakhi.app.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following data when you use Sakhi:

Account information: Your email address and the name or nickname you choose to use within the app.
Health profile: Your average cycle length, average period length, and the health condition you select (PCOS, PCOD, endometriosis, thyroid, hormonal imbalance, or regular).
Daily logs: Mood, energy level, pain level, symptoms, skin condition, hair condition, water intake, sleep hours, exercise status, and any medication intake you choose to log.
Period logs: Period start dates, end dates, and flow level.
AI chat messages: Messages you send to Sakhi AI. These are processed by Anthropic's Claude API and are subject to Anthropic's data handling policies in addition to ours.
App usage data: Feature usage, session length, and crash reports. This is anonymous and aggregated.

We do NOT collect: GPS location, phone contacts, camera access, microphone access, or any data not listed above.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide personalised cycle predictions and phase information
To generate personalised meal plans adapted to your phase and condition
To power Sakhi AI responses with context about your health profile
To calculate your Sakhi Score and Future You Feed predictions
To improve prediction accuracy as you log more data over time
To send you optional notifications (only if you enable them)

We never use your data to serve advertisements. Sakhi is a paid subscription product with no advertising model.

4. Partner Mode Data Sharing

If you choose to use Partner Mode, you control exactly which data is visible to your connected partner. You can toggle individual permissions on or off at any time. Your partner sees only what you explicitly enable. You can disconnect a partner at any time from your Profile settings. Partner connections are revocable immediately.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with the following security measures:

AES-256 encryption at rest for all stored data
TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit
Row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data
No direct database access from client applications

6. Third-Party Services

Sakhi uses the following third-party services:

Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage. Data is stored in EU/US regions. See supabase.com/privacy.
Anthropic (Claude API): Powers the Sakhi AI Chat feature. Messages are processed by Anthropic's systems. See anthropic.com/privacy.
Razorpay: Payment processing for Indian subscriptions. We never store your payment card details. See razorpay.com/privacy.
Stripe: Payment processing for international subscriptions. We never store your payment card details. See stripe.com/privacy.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised usage statistics may be retained indefinitely but cannot be linked back to you.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access all your data (available from Profile settings)
Export your data in a readable format (contact us at privacy@sakhi.app)
Correct any inaccurate data
Delete your account and all associated data
Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

9. Children's Privacy

Sakhi is designed for users aged 13 and above. The Intimate Health section is age-gated at 18. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately at privacy@sakhi.app.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes to this privacy policy via email and in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Sakhi after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
